For over 100 years, SBSS has served older adults with dignity and compassion. We're now partnering with 24Hr HomeCare to bring you an in-home care option you know you can trust.

A few hours a day or 24/7 in-home care can mean a world of difference to older adults and people with disabilities, and their families. SBSS HomeCare provides the right support so you or your loved one can maintain independence in the comfort of your own home. We provide non-medical, in-home care services for anyone needing assistance with activities of daily living.

SBSS Celebrates Preserving Memories Day!

Thank you to Fujitsu ScanSnap Cyber-Seniors Documentary and Bresee Foundation for partnering with us for Preserving Memories Day! This event helped our clients save their memories and share them with friends and family online.

Students from the Bresee Foundation Best Buy Tech Program were paired with an older adult and assisted them with scanning their photos, documents, and belongings so they could have the items digitally, and not lose important and sentimental documents.

In Memory of Sister Alice Marie

With heavy hearts the staff and board members of St. Barnabas Senior Services announce the passing of Sister Alice Marie Quinn on June 23rd, 2017.

A longtime SBSS partner and community leader Sister SAM founded St. Vincent Meals on Wheels on July 7, 1977, with a single pot of stew in a church basement and 83 seniors in attendance. Sister SAM served as the organizations Executive Director for 40 years.  St. Vincent Meals on Wheels went on to become the largest Meals on Wheels program, delivering nearly 3,500 meals a day.

Because of her tireless work, many older adults were able to be fed and remain healthy in their community. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Sister Alice’s friends and family, her team at St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, and all the clients she touched during her time with Meals on Wheels.

Her life of service has inspired everyone who knew her. She never wavered in her commitment to serve the homebound seniors and those living in poverty.
